Lira is our newest member of the pack, and is my dog. For now she is a wery easely trained dog, and easy to reward with treats, ball, tug-o-war or just with my self.

What wil become of her when she is adult is not easy to say now, but she wil be trained in obedience, search and tracking (nordic workingdog program), and probably some other sports as well. She loves to go hiking and is probably going to be a good skijouring/sledding dog.

Lira’s name

When I had to find a name for Lira I wanted something on the letter ”L”, at the same time I wanted something that could describe a light and agile dog that could fly around in the forest without effort. With that came the thougt of naming her after the Willow Grouse wich is called ”lirype” in Norway. In singular particular form it is ”lirypa” and from that I shortened it to ”Lira”.
